I would like to dedicate the #1 World 2015 FITUR Travel Blogger award to all my dear friends, contacts and followers on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram, who shared and voted for me.
It is good to know that I can count on all of you to support me when it is needed. The most amazing and wonderful sense of togetherness was shown when I saw all of you sharing and calling for your own friends and contacts to vote.
A special thanks to the Turismo de Portugal, for supporting the broadcast of my campaign, and also to the Portuguese media for covering the vote process and the winning results. Especially Portugal’s biggest Travel Newspaper Fugas and its mother publication Público.
It is a very good feeling to know that you have your friends, your contacts and eventually your country supporting you, and just proves that Portugal can unite it self around the causes that it believes in!
Winning the #1 World 2015 FITUR Travel Blogger means that the stakes are higher. I feel more committed than ever to continue to write and photograph interesting and engaging stories about what People, Travel and Food.
Stories about the feelings, senses, smells, sights, sounds and touches, as it is through your senses that you ultimately achieve the “sense of place” when travelling!
Sharing the immense joy of what it feels like to have won such an important award is what matters the most to me at the end of the day!
