A very inspiring TED talk with Sebastião Salgado about the Genesis project, which is the culmination of over 50.000 photos taken through the 8 years that this project took to complete. Spending as much as 8 to 10 straight months in each of the 32 countries that he visited for the project, Salgado shows us the planet untouched by progress, when the humankind and nature were still at an equilibrium. The simple beauty of the photos, shows a man who has a deep connection to the planet and to himself. For me it is a true ultimate evidence, that when you show your view of world through photography you are showing yourself as well.

I love this guy, I saw his film “The salt of The earth” at the Abu Dhabi film festival last year. Gave me this chills. Genius
Hi Shaima. Thanks for the amazing comment. Yes, he is a great inspiration for me too.
Sebastião is not only a gifted photographer but a brilliant man dedicated to protecting our environment and humanity. Thanks for sharing this inspirational TED talk. My husband and I had the good fortune of hearing Sebastião speak in person at Boston’s Museum of Fine Art in 2013 when he launched the Genesis Project book.
